You know your music career is on the right path when you are asked to become a featured exhibit in a Museum!

Greyson Chance is doing just that and is expected to play a role in the new Oklahoma Museum of Popular Culture (OKPOP) once it is completed over the next four years.

The new cultural museum will be located in the Brady Arts District of downtown Tulsa Oklahoma, and is being built by private and public investments expected to cost $142 Million.

It is estimated that the new 75,000 square foot museum will open sometime in 2016.

Executive Director Bob Blackburn says,
“The rest of the world knows Greyson Chance as a creative young musician but we know him as an Oklahoman who expresses the rich cultural heritage of his family, his hometown and his native state.”
The OKPOP Museum will be dedicated to the creative spirit of Oklahoma's people and the influence of Oklahoma artists on popular culture around the world.

The following video features Oklahoma actress Kristin Chenoweth describing her support and enthusiasm for the new museum.

The theme of the interactive museum will be "Crossroads of Creativity," crossing all arts in the field of music, film, television, theater, pop art, comic book, literature and humor.

OKPOP will collect artifacts, archival materials, films, videos, and audio recordings that reflect Oklahoma's influence across the United States and the World.

It’s not clear yet how Greyson will be featured within the museums exhibits but we’re pretty sure it will be in the Music and Rock and Roll section!

As we learn more about the project we will let you know!

Way to go Greyson!
